Geri Horner ‘hints’ Victoria Beckham is her LEAST favourite Spice Girl during TV appearance

It was recently claimed that Victoria Beckham was the sole holdout the Spice Girls much talked-about reunion tour, which is reportedly set to take place next year.

And Geri Horner, who was dubbed Ginger Spice during her heyday with the chart-topping group, was prodded into hinting that the designer formerly known as Posh Spice could be the least favourite of her four bandmates.

During an appearance on Sky One’s A League of Their Own, set to air Thursday night, the 46-year-old singer was asked by Jamie Redknapp who the least favourite of her bandmates was out of Victoria, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton.

As the studio audience laughed and applauded in reaction to the bold enquiry, mother-of-two Geri was seen mulling her words for a few seconds.

‘You think I could say that and then not get killed?’ Hertfordshire native Geri responded, before adding: ‘They’re all different, in different ways.’

Comedian Romesh Ranganathan, who was seated alongside Jamie on the panel, prompted laughs as he prodded: ‘You must have a favourite,’

Geri then listed the singers’ qualities, saying: ‘Emma is like my little sister… I would say Mel B is amazing… And then you’ve got Mel C, who’s got a fantastic work ethic.

‘And then Victoria, she’s like… you can send her in. They’ve all got those qualities.’

Host James Corden added fuel to the fire as he jokingly concluded: ‘Well, thanks for ranking them one, two, three and four!’

‘I love them all!’ Geri protested as the audience and celebrity panellists erupted into raucous laughter. ‘They’re all beautiful.’

A League Of Their Own airs Sky One and NOW TV on Thursdays at 9pm.

Geri’s appearance on the show comes several weeks after it was reported that singer-turned-designer Victoria refused to join the Spice Girls for a 13-date reunion tour, set to kick off in 2019.

According to The Sun On Sunday, the legendary girl band could pocket a staggering £12 million each should the tour be a sell-out.

Mother-of-four Victoria previously shot down rumours that she would be joining the band for a reunion, with sources hinting she disputed with the other girls about money despite previously saying she was on-board.

The source said: ‘After much to’ing and fro’ing, a deal has been signed, and an official announcement will be made soon. The girls can’t wait to go back on tour, perform to the fans and sing some of their greatest hits.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for The Spice Girls and Victoria Beckham for further comment.

Rumours surrounding how the Spice Girls reunion will take shape have been rife for many months, after a snapshot posted by the quintet back in February sparked speculation they were working on new projects together.

The moment was orchestrated by their original manager Simon Fuller, with a statement to MailOnline reading: ‘We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together.

‘We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together.

‘We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.’

Since then speculation has mounted on whether the band would go back on the road for a tour, release a Greatest Hits album, or work on something entirely new.

The reunion was then thrown into heavy doubt in June, after The Sun reported that Victoria had pulled out after refusing to tour with the band.

The women were set to make £30million each following the tour which was due to begin in late September after manager Simon masterminded the comeback.

An insider claimed that the band was in ‘disarray’ following ‘heated debates between the girls and Victoria’.

They said: ‘Simon was brought in to convince her to take the offer but now he’s failed they feel he’s used them to put his name back on the map.’

It is claimed that the other girls approached Victoria and gave her an ultimatum between them and Simon.

However it is believed that she chose their manager, who managed to turn her brand into an empire.

The cause of this latest chapter in the reunion saga is apparently to do with money, with a source stating that Mel B and Mel C are wanting to ‘cash in’.
